The thirty-four Homeric Hymns across, every being and place they name down, grouped by kind. A mark is
sized by how often the hymn names it, by name, epithet, patronymic or periphrasis; a ring marks the god a hymn
is addressed to.
Hover a mark for the lines; click a name or a mark for every citation, and a hymn’s numeral for the hymn in
the graph. Columns by length gives each hymn the width of its lines and puts a tick at each line that
names the being: the four long hymns, to Demeter, Apollo, Hermes and Aphrodite, hold four lines in five.
Greek: Evelyn-White (1914), via Perseus; Hymn 34, Εἰς Ξένους, from Allen (1912).
